An Overcast And Tad Bit Cold Day.

Nothing to complain about as it is the end of November after all!

The type of weather that lends itself perfectly to recline on a sofa with book in one hand, cat on one's lap and tea in the other. Fog has settled over our area and seems to like it so much here that it has yet to show any inclination to depart.

Cooking comes a close second when its grey and damp outside. Be it a lovely porridge for breakfast, a hearty winter soup for lunch or some delicious dinner dish. Why shouldn't we enjoy a miserable day as much as a sunny one? These are the times that give us a mental absolution that buying an elaborate warm jacket was worth it and not a mere fashion must have.

Last week I bought two balls of wool ( well, not wool but rather an acrylic replica. Bit of a conundrum how to purchase knitting supplies ) and knitted a long scarf. Knitting scarves are a perfect foil for watching television. No counting rows or stitches required and even knitting without adequate light is fine.

Wearing said scarf is a pleasure and warm as toast. As I chose beautiful pale blue colours, I feel quite spiffy wearing it. Not bad for two euros worth of yarn. Must get some more of it and knit one for Bob.

Not so easy trying to do a ' selfie ' with an ordinary camera. Also, knew that a flash would go off so I tried my hardest not to blink, plus, arms not long enough! Anyway, happy with my scarf.
