Beautiful Roses And More.

 Nature excels herself.

Soft as velvet, pretty as a picture and lovely to behold.

Going for our walk this afternoon, Maxi and I happened across this big meadow with its magical inhabitants.

The rose orchestra at work.

A mingling at the meadow. Each flower more stunning than the next. It boggles my mind how nature creates such magnificent works of art, year after year out of a tiny seed.

For some reason this picture reminds me of the Taj Mahal.  Clear cut lines, stunning colours and a blue sky.

A final look at the meadow, a meadow that is the home to a whole host of creatures....ants, bugs and bees to name but a few.

A Lovely Visual Summer's Morning.

 Eisenberg shines....

The lilac, this one a pure white hue, outdoes itself in pulchritude.

The reds do seem to have that elusive attraction.

A duet of sorts...

A bit more of this vibrant red shrub. I wish you could have seen it in person. One couldn't help but be drawn to it...

A bit further down the road stands an apple orchard with various varietals. The bees were buzzing and the mood was too.

Tulips And Nature.

Another lovely walk in our area.

Towards the end of my walk, heading into Eisenberg.
Our house is nestled just in front of the forest in the back. Hidden yet in plain sight...

The tulips in the war memorial enclosure are starting to beckon us again with their vibrancy and cheerfulness.

Another perfect sunny morning...only to be pushed aside by clouds accompanied by the odd drops of rain later on.

A beautiful sea of tulips slowly awakening to a new day.

A patchwork road heading into the blissful surrounds of vineyards, fruit trees and Kellerstocks.

Their red has such a magnetic attraction, which makes it hard to walk past without paying homage. Nature, yet again showing us its might, beauty and permanence.

A Little Bit Of Tree Art.

The pulchritude of nature, yet again.

The buds are blossoming, the branches are awakening. Despite today's cold spell, the forest was alive.

A tree dressed to impress....

A spot of bright green! Isn't it a lovely bit of tree art? New life, new beginnings.

Another bright green, another winner. How intricate, delicate and perfect these budding blossoms are. Absolutely fabulous.

Tree art of a different kind....an outhouse being dolled up! Rather effective, don't you think?

Again the same tree...in a way it looks as if the tree is being hugged. Nature amazes me every time, and I can't wait to see the whole tree full of vigor, leaves and movement.

Bits Of Nature, Cheerful And Bright.

 Burgenland awakens to spring.

The floating pot-pourri of nature. One can firmly hear the crispness of those leaves. Dots of colour leading us into a peaceful spring.

The blueness of our sky is something to behold, not to mention the eons of vines.

New beginnings, circular hypnosis! I could look at this field for hours. Very soothing indeed.

The beautiful dot of a poisoned fruit! Bright and attractive and thankfully only to our avian friends.

For some reason the attractive dots of landscape do know how to position themselves for maximum attractiveness. Very cheerful.

A Bit Of Tree Art.

The cheerfulness of trees, whatever the season.

Again nature provides a cheerful front. Today, despite it being bitterly cold, was one of those perfect mornings, where nature shone and moods lifted.

The coldness made the colours contrast more it seems. Soon the branches will be bare and the ground covered in a beautiful carpet ranging from yellows via greens to rust hues. Magical.

The faithful birch trees steal the show in every segment of the annual seasons.

' Peek-a-boo, I see you...'

Parting of ways...

A more shady fella still providing an amazing impression.

Bits And Pieces Garnered From My Walks.

The normal side to life.

At the start of one of our walks we got waylaid by a friendly feline...the new addition to our family. We haven't named her yet and tend to call her grey cat.
A bit of friendly banter between Maxi and her.

When you see her like this she looks rather too well fed but when you see her standing up, her extreme slenderness emerges. A most loving soul.

The fog this morning was tremendous and all inclusive. Deutsch Schützen was submerged in a thick layer of fog and couldn't be seen from a distance.

The sun was helping to dissipate the fog. A nostalgic Kellerstock sets the scene.

A field of sunflowers living up to their name by cheering up all and sundry who passed by.

A look behind the sunworshippers! The same flower from the photo before seen from behind. Surreal to see such a vast change by merely looking to my right.

The sun chose to grace us all day long and a nice Sunday was had.

A Stunning And Magical Sunrise In Eisenberg.

Early bird does catch the worm...

Maxi wasn't feeling too well and thus couldn't go on his long morning excursion which meant that I was on the road that much earlier and had an opportunity to be a part of a spectacular sunrise.

The branches of this tree almost look like they are holding hands while reflecting on the beauty of this sunrise.

The vibrant colours are really only seen for a very short while. Sometimes a matter of minutes before the vibrancy dissipates.

A sunrise does look so much more attractive when it is measured against a mountain, lake, animal or in this case, the merry branches of a huge tree.

About a hundred meters further I got a glimpse of the awakening sun getting ready for the day. Nature never ceases to amaze and surprise me.

What a privilege to be able to witness this magic provided by Mother Nature...

Blackberries On The Forest's Edge.

 A lovely Sunday morning snack!

Having written about them yesterday, I couldn't believe my luck at stumbling onto a new blackberry spot. There were so many shrubs lining the forest's edge that I must have devoured at least a hundred grams worth.

A look down my blackberry aisle...almost all the way along the left side these shrubs were proliferating in huge proportions and providing easy snacks without too much interference from thorny sentries.

The beauty of leaves...so simple yet so calming which is what we need in our at times hectic world.

Don't you just want to pick blackberries? Ah, the lovely plump ones were sadly too high up but those I could easily reach tasted sweet and lovely.

Walking away from the fruit find I couldn't help but be surprised to see what appears to be a gravestone set among the trees. I wonder what it signifies and if it has anything to do with the horrors of the Second World War.

An hibiscus shrub almost ready to be picked.
The brilliant greens today were a salve for the soul and a breath of fresh air...literally!

Let's hope that the current building boom ( or madness! ) doesn't extend to our magical and essential green areas.
