Early bird catches the worm and so forth...
You can almost smell the dew and its peculiar yet not unpleasant aroma. An awakening, or rather thawing of smells...cow pats to name but one. Eisenberg has a lovely village feel to it, doesn't it. A place to know your neighbour for sure. Gosh, even I thought for just a split second that this was a photo taken by the sea. The sun rising over the ocean! If you look closely, you can spot an orange bucket next to the vines. Walking through the vineyard during harvest time is almost surreal. All you can hear is the sound of a bunch of grapes being dropped into a bucket with only the odd conversation in between. But you hardly ever see anyone as they are usually at the bottom of a ' lane '. No words needed! The Eisenberg range gives of such a feeling of tranquility, security and never mind its amazing clay & mineral rich soil. Oh yes, a major part in the success of our Blaufränkisch wines. A wonderful image from our area. The geese honking loudly with the Eisenberg range as a nice amphitheatre. It could quite possibly be an orchestra.Biggi
