With bits of silence.
Sunday afternoons gently ease us into the new week and if the weather plays along there is nothing more soothing. That is until two ferals start to clash outside.
Our two resident tomcats are at it again. Both of them are quite aware that there is always ample grub for them yet they can't stop fighting like a bunch of girls. Yes, when they fight their voices turn into high pitched arias of suffering. All for a can of questionable meat.
If it weren't so annoying it would be almost funny. Honestly, it sounds so dreadful that I wonder what the neighbours think and more importantly, that they know that horrid noise is emitted from the throat of cats and not us!
Due to the corona restrictions there are less people about, which is a good thing. Let's break the chain of transmission. The odd sound of a child playing can be heard but mostly we are inundated with the wonderful sounds of birds tweeting and catching up. Isn't it nice to know that tweets are coming back to birds and that the twitter tirades might be coming to an end.
What a fantastic bit of news to wake up to after those last four days of electoral suspense. Finally a bit of peacefulness and normality back in the offing. The moral compasses seem to be working again and I can't wait to see how this will translate to climate change.
