Autumn is in full swing.
Only last Friday we had the pleasure of attending a groundbreaking vegan Buschenschank in Eisenberg. It can be done and judging by the onslaught of happy people, it might not be amiss to have it more often. I had the ' Xavar-Brot ' and I have to confess it was so delicious that I only remembered to take a photo halfway through. Yes, the portions were huge and the wine was good. All over the vineyards the tone de jour is a mellow yellow and its lovely cousin, orange. Despite the fog on this particular morning, the depth of color is unwavering. A treat to walk past it. A rose awakening from a rather cold slumber with pink cheeks and glistening dew. As vibrant as a red rose can be, I must admit that I prefer the pink beauty as it shows elegance, style and class. Some of the corn fields have not been chopped yet and at least the local deer will be able to feed themselves for a little while longer and fatten up for the winter to come...Biggi
