A Bit Of Grass...

Walking, good for anyone's health.

A path, a verge and sunshine. Put it all together and a cheerful background to my morning walk appears. How lovely and uplifting these chamomile plants are.
Slowly the poppies are wilting but not without rendering image upon image of sheer pulchritude. Certain spots along my route reveal pockets of poppies mostly abuzz with bees and other buzzes. Wonderful.
One shouldn't look back but I couldn't resist. Yonder on the hill is Hungary and before that the valley of Eisenberg. Lushious and green as far as the eyes can see.
A race against our local mowers. The two man crew is busy chopping off all these awesome clusters of grass along the village's verges. There is something very soothing and real about long blades of grass...
Intricate, delicate and beautiful. Each and every time I am amazed at the way nature pays attention to these minute details of even the most basic of its citizens. One little seed is able to proliferate and grow into a wildflower, year after year. Nature equal magician.
A story of two fields...the stark contrast between the deep brown and the emerald green is a treat to behold. We tend to forget that most of what we eat started off on a field similar to this. Life, simple and awesome in one.
