Much needed refreshments for our fields, plants and gardens.
Life can't always be bright and sunny. Rather a nice change to have a slight nip in the morning air, puddles galore and a more toned down summer background. Most of the fields' run-offs were living up to their name and bursting with fresh water making each blade of grass look even more spiffy. Along the length of the run-off an apple tree has shed a few fruit which are a perfect prop for a game of bobbing for apples. A troupe of apples have decided to form a special bond in the manner of a weir. Wonderful to see nature at work...I hope that the buck will have fun bobbing for these apples. Many a slug took the opportunity to cross the path and apart from me side stepping each and every one of them, I hope that they will have crossed before the tractors come along.
