A morning spent along the town square of Köczek.
The buildings themselves are most of the charm but I thought that photos of old buildings aren't everyone's cup of tea. Much better to focus on small details of them. Above the bakery, windows do need to be open because how else does one catch the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked bread. A bit more detail...three windows but I just liked the streetlamp in front of it. A most beautiful archway beckons forth into another square. Stunning architecture from days gone by. Often these big gates are closed off and one isn't aware of the beauty hidden behind it. Windows onto ordinary lives lived in extraordinary surroundings. One of my favourites of the day was this one captured at the Fortress of Köczeg. Old fortress walls and windows that have had the fortune to be privy to a whole epoch of history. If only walls could talk...Biggi
