Would You Want To Live On Mars?

Or any other planet for that matter.

Most of us have read that book: " Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus " and it had some very noteworthy bits in it. Two points stuck in my mind: about my man being in his Man-cave and the other about not being his mother but his wife....

I can tell you, when you start to live with a man, this last one can get difficult to adhere to. Those socks, wet towels & underpants don't magically fly into the laundry basket. No, often the only solution does seem to be a maternal ( slightly shrill & hypersonic ) one. Very sad indeed.

Maybe it might be a good idea to move to planet " Man " for a while, but I much rather it would be the fictitious one and not the real one. Mars tends to look so desolate and dreary not to mention a slight bit red. Why we would want to move there is beyond me.

Apart from anything else, the travel time alone would take a while. Who would build all the homes, we need? It would more than likely be the grandparents of the future Mars residents. So actually, it makes no ( common ) sense to me.

If you were given a prize of a free round trip to Mars, would you accept? Well, the cynics out there would wonder about the " round " in trip, but most of us would rather cash in the prize and fly to the Caribbean. So, why would we want to move to Mars...

Yet, the research continues and I suppose it is a good thing somewhere along the line, because everyone is so worried about the survival of planet Earth.

But here is the thing: If we are all so worried about our planet's survival, why don't we start to look after it and do what is necessary to protect it from its demise?.
