A sub zero walk in Eisenberg.
The first chance I got was halfway through my walk...taking the gloves off to take photos can be rather painful. At minus 9 degrees, it only takes a minute to lose feeling in your fingers. A layer of ice instantly adds another layer of mystique and pulchritude to even the simplest things like trees. There is something so comforting about seeing a stacked pile of wood. Even more amazing to see that no pilfering occurs despite the coldness of the season. Nice. The lane between Eisenberg and Deutsch Schützen has been planted with a row of birches. Their white bark mingles very well with the blue of the sky and the glittering of the coating of ice. On Sundays these newspaper vending machines are put up all over the village. As you can see, it assumes that one is honest. Put the money in and take the newspaper out...rather amazing, isn't it? Finally, back at home, in our front garden this beautiful and very tame red breasted robin was awaiting...even posing for photos.Biggi
